The Haps

I am slow but steady. Between editing patterns and all the other necessary things to do around here to keep the house at least looking as though it is running I have been working on more plaques.

New nursing apron pattern in our etsy shop.

I try to not like birds but it just isn't working. I like them. They are quirky little lovelies. Are they so last year? And something is wrong with my camera. See the blurriness in all the pics? What is wrong and how do I fix it?

Boutique Scramble

The boutique week is coming up. I am so excited, I am in a new venue. The ladies seem lovely, the other artists are wonderful. Here is a sneak peek at some of the plaques. Some of them make me giddy.
Here is the link to all the information: The Queen Bee Boutique

Sorry the pics are a little sub-par, I think all the varnish is making me a bit loopy and a bit lazy about the pics - hopefully I can get some better ones before they go in the show.

I have done about 30 welcome plaques and have added some whimsical wall hangings, about 10, that I think would be great anywhere in your house, the pear ones would be so cute over the sink in your kitchen. They all seem to brighten up the place.

And yes, I still am in love with birds. I tried a bunch of different breeds, this Polkie Bird, rarely seen in the wild with it's baby, made a rare appearance. I hope they all go to good homes.

My First Gift Boutique

Here is a look at my impromptu workplace and some plaques I whipped up today for a gift show I have been invited to participate in. A while ago, someone contacted me from my etsy site and asked if I would participate in her holiday gift show. She is in Utah, so this worked out great. I agreed, and then in true me-lately fashion, let her know I couldn't do it. Thank goodness for her, she talked me into it. I am glad she did, I have been wanting to make my plaques and sew for quite some time, but as all of you know, life gets in the way. So thanks to my lovely husband, he has agreed to switch places with me the next few days so I can add more nursing aprons and plaques to my small stash I already have. Thanks to Heidi's encouragement to bring whatever I have, no matter how little, I am now feeling the jitters of my first gift show. I don't expect any of you to come and buy my things (although you can if you want), but there are going to be over 60 artisans and vendors at this boutique. Please check out the Oh Sweet Sadie blog for more information including a list of participants, spotlights on some, directions to the gift show itself and more. I would go even if I wasn't involved. And thanks again Heidi for allowing me to waffle over this decision.
