I've gone to the other side. Five minutes ago, I called Eli into the kitchen and told him that is he didn't start treating his sister better and being happier, he would start losing Christmas presents. I've become one of those moms. My promise to myself when I was 7 has been broken. (Caroline got the same warning, don't fret that I am favoring the fairer sex, Joey seems to be the only child taking me seriously!) If things don't change, Eli may be getting this and only this on Christmas morning.

I told Luke if he can't start being nice to Parker, he would get a lump of coal from Santa. He said, "I don't care if all I get is a big, dirty rock." The threat of no presents isn't working around here either.
awesome. i made the same threat during church today. and then sat and felt like the crappiest mom on earth... and wondered how many others have said this same statement recently. glad to know i am in good company. (yours that is ;)
Whitney...I am still laughing. I've got to show this picture to my kids. I need to pick you up a Jingles, he watches every move!
I said the same thing and stuck by it. My ever so happy loving oldest child...was pestering unmercifully the bubbly middle child...so I made the threat and when I was completely ingnored...marched as loudly as I could to the already wrapped gifts hidden all over my room...grab the smallest but most expensive gift and..tore off the wrapping and took it back to Target...
No Ninentendo for that child this year. And the kicker she gotten the same thing taken away just a month ago...when in a moment of weakness I bought her a new DS since hers broke and we were taking a 25 hour drive to TX. She only had it open for 2 hours before she got that one taken away and returned. Yes I know...I returned something we had opened and used....but I had to make my point.
So next time you see her...ask her how her Ninetendo is doing.
